Mike Dwyer: Bridging the Chasm - Checking for Extra Baggage

 Breakfast Sponsor: Rally Software.

Mike Dwyer spent most of his career working in what we now call the Agile frame. He brings over 30 years experience in all phases of a product’s life cycle. His approach is founded in manufacturing management Fischer Price and Parker Brothers and expanded with a decade of software R&D work with Wang Laboratory where his exposure to public sector, financial, commercial, programs began. Another decade with Unisys and his own firm 3SidedCoin expanded his understanding as he managed and consulted on projects and programs in public sector, mature organizations as well as startup and high growth organizations in software, healthcare, and services. Most recently Mike has been working in the healthcare arena developing metrics for emergent solutions.

His experiences have shown him the importance of collaborative commitments to provide structure, discipline, and focus for cross-organizational and cross-functional teams transitioning and emerging into the Agile workframe. Much of his focus is on increasing team’s capability to orient themselves to changes and adapt their approach, as they grow and extend their role in the organization. This need is best seen in his interest in Complex Adaptive Systems and the application of emergence to extend Agile and Scrum within the SDLC as well as to other professions including architecture/engineering and construction professionals. Mike a Certified Scrum Practitioner and is located in Boston, MA.
